• Our masonry drill bits, available in some kits, have tungsten carbide tips. The bits fit into an SDS hammer drill and form pilot holes in brickwork, ready for tie insertion. The bits fit into SDS hammer drills.
• All our tying kits include our one-piece wall tie installation tool. One end of the setting tool fits into an SDS drill, and the other accepts the shank of a CD tie. The tools deliver multiple blows from the hammer drill to the tie-ends, driving the helix into the brickwork.
• Our remedial 9 mm CD wall ties have UKCA and CE Mark approval for brick, block and concrete use. Repeated hammer blows drive the replacement tie into masonry via a pilot hole. The tie's wide thread causes it to rotate and screw into the wall tracking its helix angle. The threads slice winding grooves into brickwork as they proceed into the hole. Once set, the brick tie grips the inner and outer walls, and the helix forms drip points to stop water from crossing the cavity.
