Wykamol Tanking Slurry is a 20 kg blend of Portland cement, graded sands and polymers. It comes in its own mixing bucket. The powder mixes with water to form a slurry-like paste. Use it with a stiff brush to tank cellars and basements. The slurry forms a watertight barrier by blocking masonry pores. Once set, it prevents water from seeping through porous masonry.
Use Wykamol Tanking Slurry to coat internal brick, block or stone walls. The slurry is ideal for waterproofing basements as it resists water pressure. You can also use it above ground to stop damp penetration.
The wall must be ready to accept the treatment. Ensure the walls have flush surfaces and are free of paint and dirt. Dampen the walls before applying the first slurry coat.
Blend the 20 kg powder with 3.2 to 4 litres of clean water. Work the slurry undercoat into the masonry surface using a stiff brush. When it's dry, brush on a second coat at right angles to the first. Top with our renovation plaster to protect the tanking. See the data-sheet for full basement tanking guidance.
Yes! The British Board of Agrément certifies Wykamol Tanking Slurry. The cementitious tanking complies with BS 8102. It offers Type-A barrier protection for below-ground structures.
