Structural repair ties are heavy-duty helical wall ties that reinforce masonry walls. Our long drive-in ties screw into masonry to form a deep mechanical connection. The anchorage needs no construction adhesives. Our one-piece anchors strengthen walls on heritage houses, listed buildings and ancient monuments.

Drive these extra-long ties into pilot holes to fix brick, block and stone walls. Once fitted, the ties increase a structure's tension and shear capacity.

What are 12 mm structural repair ties used for?

  • Re-connecting wall junctions.
  • Pinning masonry arches.
  • Tying thick and rubble fill stone walls.
  • Stitching cracked corners.
  • Reinforcing parapet walls.
  • Re-coupling buttresses
  • Securing stone quoins.

To install the heavy-duty ties, drill deep pilot holes. Use 8 mm pilot holes for tying soft to medium-strength masonry. For more challenging materials, use 10 mm bits. The special SDS setting tool drives the ties into brick or masonry walls.

The tying system is at least ten times faster to use than grouted pinning systems. The insertion speed offers outstanding labour-saving costs.

What are the benefits of using the 12mm diameter helical ties?

  • Temperature tolerant insertion, including in sub-zero conditions.
  • No material compatibility issues with old buildings with lime mortars.
  • Less disturbance to buildings than with any other deep pinning system.
  • Longer and stronger anchorage than any other helical wall tie.
  • Rapid and cost-effective fixing rates.

Our 12 mm diameter structural wall ties are available in 316 marine-grade stainless steel. The ties come in lengths of 910 mm (36 inch) to 1670 mm (66 inch) in 150 mm (6 inch) increments. They are twice as strong as any other spiral wall ties of similar design.
